End Carriages for Overhead Travelling Cranes

End carriage profile

  • Rectangular tube (ø125-315) or welded structure (ø 400-500).
  • Manufactured within narrow tolerances, end carriages interchangeable.
  • Design acc. To DIN 15018, H2/b3.

Cranes girder connection

  • High-tensile bolt connection between crane connection plate and end carriage.
  • Precisely defined introduction of forces due to spacer discs between the connection plate and the end carriage.
  • On KEL-type.. with wheel diameter 125-200 mm, connection “on top” also possible.



Wheel (3.1) – (3.2)

  • Wheel with flanges (3.1) up to ø400, without flanges from ø500 (3.2).
  • Guide rollers (4) from wheel ø500.
  • High-quality spheroidal graphite cast iron GGG 70; long life due to self-lubricating effect.
  • Maintenance-free ball bearings.
  • Design anal. To DIN/FEM 15020: 1Bm, other classifications on request.



Travel drive (5)
The travel drives SF.. and FA-C.. are adapted to the requirements of materials handling. They are designed for intermittent operation S4 to VDE 0530 part 1. They are used as travel drives for overhead travelling cranes and double rail crabs.

  • Low-maintenance direct drive with torque support.
  • Gear teeth and shafts in high-grade steels for high resistance to wear and breakage. Very low noise level due too helical gearing of all gear steps.
  • Lifetime lubrication.
  • Design anal. to DIN/FEM 15020: 1Am.
  • Brake motor with disc brake and centrifugal mass. Smooth acceleration and braking characteristics.
  • Insulation class F to VDE 0530.


Motors
The three-phase A.C. motors have cylindrical rotors. They have cylindrical rotors. They have an integrated flat brake and an additional centrifugal mass for extremely smooth accelerating and braking characteristics. All are pole-changing for 2 travel speeds at 1:4 ratio. On request, the motors can be equipped with a thermistor temperature control.

Gear
The gearwheels of all gear steps are helical and thus particularly quiet-running. Due to the long-lasting oil-bath lubrication, the gears are practically maintenance free. Extremely slow speeds are possible with and additional gear step
The drive shaft of the standard design is a spline shaft.

Universal runway end stops which are clamped onto the lower flange of the runway, can be supplied for monorail trolleys.
